Product Details

A 4ft T5 LED tube that drops into your existing fluorescent fixture. It's a UL Type A lamp, so it runs on the fixture's own electronic ballast. No rewiring, no electrician callout. 24W gives you 3200 lumens at CRI above 83. One switch on the G5 base selects 3500K, 4000K, 5000K or 6500K, so a single part number covers four colour temperatures. Glass tube, plastic safety coating, cULus listed, 5-year warranty.

Can you replace a T5 fluorescent tube with LED?

Yes, and a Type A lamp lets you do it without touching the wiring. Pull the fluorescent tube, fit this one, restore power. The ballast, sockets and fixture wiring stay as they are. On a large retrofit that matters. A crew converting 400 troffers spends minutes per fixture, not an hour. One condition. This lamp runs on electronic ballasts only. Don't fit it in a pre-heat ballasted luminaire, and check the compatibility list before you order.

How do you tell if an LED tube is Type A or Type B?

Type A runs on the existing ballast. Type B bypasses it and wires to line voltage, so every fixture needs rewiring. This one is Type A. If your ballasts are healthy and you want speed, it's the right call. If they're near end of life, ask us about a bypass option. A dead ballast takes a Type A lamp down with it.

Four colour temperatures, one SKU

The CCT selector sits on the lamp base: 3500K, 4000K, 5000K or 6500K. Distributors stock one part number instead of four. Contractors match the room next door without a second trip. Set the switch before the lamp is energised. Changing it under power can damage it.

Will it fit your fixture?

Rated for dry and damp locations, and it suits totally enclosed recessed fixtures. For a 4-lamp troffer, the compartment needs at least 48 x 22.56 x 2.56 in (1218 x 573 x 65 mm), with tubes spaced 4.33 in (110 mm) centre to centre. For ballast compatibility, wiring, installation steps and safety markings, open the Manual (PDF), and grab the IES file if your designer needs photometric data for layout work.
