LED wrap lights are the easiest way to replace old fluorescent fixtures in offices, hallways, and utility rooms. The wraparound lens distributes light evenly across the room, and most models mount directly to the existing ceiling box. No rewiring needed.
Votatec's wrap fixtures come in 2ft and 4ft lengths, from 20W to 54W (2,400 to 7,200 lumens). CSA certified, dimmable, and available in 4000K or 5000K colour temperatures. They ship from our GTA warehouse across Canada.

What Is a Wrap Light Fixture?
A wrap light is a surface-mount ceiling fixture with a curved acrylic or polycarbonate lens that "wraps" around the light source. You've seen them everywhere - schools, offices, hallways, laundry rooms, apartment corridors. They're the rectangular fixtures with the frosted cover that sits flush against the ceiling.
The wraparound design serves a purpose. It spreads light wider than a flat panel or troffer because the lens curves down on both sides. That gives you around 180 degrees of light distribution instead of just downward. Good for hallways and narrow spaces where you want wall-to-wall coverage without dark spots.
Old wraparound fixtures used T8 or T12 fluorescent tubes. The LED versions look the same from the outside, but inside it's a completely different story. No tubes to replace, no ballast to fail, and around 50% less energy.
Where Do You Use LED Wrap Lights?
LED Wrap Lights for Offices and Commercial Spaces
Wrap fixtures work well in offices with standard 8-9 foot ceilings where recessed troffers aren't an option. Maybe the ceiling is concrete, or there's no plenum space. Surface-mount wraps solve that problem. The 4ft models at 40W to 54W put out enough light for general office tasks.
For open-plan offices, space them about 6-8 feet apart in rows. The wraparound lens fills the gaps between fixtures better than flat panels, so you can sometimes use fewer fixtures to cover the same area.
Wraparound Lights for Hallways and Corridors
This is probably the most common application. Long corridors in apartment buildings, hotels, schools, and hospitals need even, glare-free light. The 4ft wrap light handles this perfectly. One fixture every 8-10 feet keeps things bright without hot spots.
For shorter hallways or closets, the 2ft model works. Same light quality, just in a smaller package.
LED Wrap Fixtures for Garages and Utility Rooms
Home garages, laundry rooms, mechanical rooms, storage areas. Anywhere you need decent general lighting without spending a lot. Wrap lights are one of the most affordable LED fixture options and they're simple to install. Two screws into a junction box. Done.
Wrap Around Lights for Schools and Institutions
Classrooms, libraries, stairwells, cafeterias. Wrap fixtures are a go-to for school boards doing LED retrofits because they mount on existing junction boxes and don't require ceiling modifications. The 4000K colour temperature is easy on the eyes for all-day use.
What Size LED Wrap Light Do You Need?
-
2ft LED Wrap Lights
Best for smaller spaces - closets, pantries, laundry rooms, short hallways, small bathrooms. Output is typically 2,400 to 3,600 lumens at 20W to 30W. These fixtures are compact enough to fit in tight spots where a 4ft fixture won't work.
-
4ft LED Wrap Light Fixtures
The standard choice for most commercial and residential applications. 4,800 to 7,200 lumens at 32W to 54W covers offices, hallways, classrooms, and garages. If you're replacing an existing 4ft fluorescent wrap, this is a direct swap. Same mounting pattern, same junction box.
Not sure which wattage? For 8-foot ceilings, 32W-40W is usually plenty. Higher ceilings (10-12 feet) or larger rooms might need the 54W model for adequate coverage.
Why Choose Votatec LED Wrap Lights
1- Eliminate Fluorescent Maintenance
Every facility manager knows the fluorescent maintenance burden: tubes failing every 12-18 months, ballasts burning out unexpectedly, flickering generating complaints, and constant replacement costs. Votatec LED wrap light fixture systems change everything with 50,000+ hour LED lifespan (5+ years of 24/7 operation), zero tube replacements, integrated LED drivers eliminating separate ballasts, instant-on performance, and consistent output. A 100,000 sq ft office building with 200 fluorescent wrap fixtures spends $8,000-$12,000 annually on maintenance. Convert to LED wrap lights: zero expenses for 5+ years, saving $40,000-$60,000.
2- Substantial Energy Savings
Energy Comparison:
- 2-lamp T8 (64W) vs 22W LED wrap light: 66% reduction
- 3-lamp T8 (96W) vs 32W LED wrap fixture: 67% reduction
- 4-lamp T8 (128W) vs 44W 4 ft LED wrap light: 66% reduction
An office building operating 4,000 hours annually with 150 × 2-lamp T8 fixtures: $5,376 energy cost. Replace with 22W LED wrap light fixture systems: $1,848 cost. Annual savings: $3,528 per building. For school districts with hundreds of buildings, these savings multiply into millions redirected to educational programs.
3- Superior Light Quality
Votatec LED wrap lights deliver consistent, comfortable illumination fluorescent systems cannot match: instant 100% brightness (no 3-5 minute warm-up), zero flicker eliminating headaches, consistent color temperature (4000K-5000K) throughout 50,000 hour life, CRI 80+ providing accurate color rendering, uniform light distribution through wraparound diffuser, and silent operation. Building occupants working under LED wrap light systems report measurable improvements in comfort, productivity, and satisfaction.
Votatec LED wrap lights replace fluorescent in minutes, cut energy costs by 40-50%, and last 50,000+ hours. CSA certified, dimmable, and shipped from our GTA warehouse across Canada.
