Votatec supplies G9 and G4 LED bulbs to electrical contractors, property managers, and facility teams across Canada. Bi-pin replacements for chandeliers, vanities, under-cabinet puck lights, and low-voltage landscape fixtures. G9 runs on 120V, G4 on 12V DC, and both ship in 3000K, 4000K, 5000K, and 6000K.
G9 vs G4: Which Bi-Pin Base Do You Need?
Both bases use two small pins instead of a screw thread. The difference is voltage and pin spacing. G9 bulbs run on line voltage (120V) and press straight into chandeliers, vanities, and wall sconces. G4 bulbs run on 12V DC through a driver or transformer, which is why you'll find them in landscape lighting, under-cabinet puck lights, and accent fixtures. The number is the pin gap in millimetres: 9mm for G9, 4mm for G4. Order the base that matches your fixture, then pick wattage and colour.

Chandeliers & Vanities
G9 LED bulbs drop into decorative fixtures without the heat of halogen. Pair them with Type A bulbs and LED filament for a full fixture retrofit.
Landscape & Under-Cabinet
G4 12V bulbs suit outdoor path lights, step lights, and puck lighting. For larger low-voltage reflectors, see our MR16 bulbs.
Hospitality & Multi-Unit
Hotels, condos, and restaurants replace hundreds of G9 and G4 halogens at once. Volume pricing and consistent CCT keep every room matched.
RV, Marine & 12V Systems
G4 12V DC bulbs run cool and draw little current, which makes them a common swap in mobile and off-grid fixtures.
Specs That Matter for Bulk Orders
Most G9 LED bulbs draw 2.5W to 5W and replace 25W to 40W halogen, roughly one-fifth the wattage for the same brightness.1 G4 LED bulbs draw about 2W to 4W in place of a 20W halogen.2 Colour temperature runs from warm 3000K to daylight 6000K, so you can match existing rooms or spec cooler light for work areas. Dimmable models are available; confirm your driver is LED-rated, since older halogen transformers can buzz or flicker under a low LED load.2 Every Votatec bulb ships with spec data so procurement teams can check wattage, lumens, CCT, and voltage before they order.
E11 & E12 Candelabra Bulbs
This category also carries small Edison-base bulbs. E12 candelabra and E11 mini-can bulbs suit chandeliers, wall lights, and specialty fixtures that use a screw base instead of pins. If you're mixing bi-pin and candelabra sockets in one project, order both here and keep a single supplier for the whole fixture count.
Why Contractors and Property Managers Buy from Votatec

- Consistent CCT: the same 3000K across a full order, so rooms match.
- Spec sheets on request: wattage, lumens, voltage, and CRI for approvals.
- Canadian stock: supply for GTA, Vancouver, Montreal, and beyond.
- One supplier, many bases: G9, G4, E11, E12, plus GU10 and more in one order.
LED vs Halogen: What the Numbers Say
Swapping halogen bi-pin bulbs for LED cuts energy use by up to 80% and stretches bulb life from around 1,000 to 2,000 hours to 15,000 to 50,000 hours.1 LED bulbs also run cool, which matters in enclosed vanities and small sconces where halogen heat shortens fixture life.1 For a property with hundreds of fixtures, that's fewer ladder trips, lower bills, and less heat load on the space.
