Buy landscape lighting transformers at wholesale prices, stocked and shipped from Canada. A landscape lighting transformer converts 120V line power to safe low voltage (12V to 15V) for outdoor LED systems. We carry 100W, 300W, 600W and 900W+ multi-tap units with timer and photocell options for pathway, garden, architectural and water-feature jobs.

Pathway and Walkway
Low draw path lights let one transformer feed a long run. Pair a 100W or 300W unit with our
landscape lighting fixtures for driveways, walkways and parking-lot borders.
Garden and Plant Accent
Spot and well lights for beds, trees and shrubs. A 300W transformer powers roughly 24 fixtures at 10W each, with room to grow.
Architectural and Structure
Wall wash, grazing and soffit runs on commercial buildings. Multi-tap output holds 12V at the far end of long facade runs.
Pool and Water Feature
Weather-resistant units for wet locations. Add a photoelectric sensor for dusk-to-dawn control.
Transformer Capacity: 100W, 300W, 600W and 900W+
Match the transformer to total fixture wattage, then add headroom. The Canadian and North American sizing rule is simple: total load should not exceed 80% of the transformer rating. Divide your fixture wattage by 0.8 to find the minimum size. 200W of LED fixtures needs a 250W transformer.1
- 100W: small residential and accent runs, up to ~8 LED fixtures.
- 300W: the workhorse for mid-size properties, up to ~24 fixtures at 10W.
- 600W: large residential and light commercial, multi-zone runs.
- 900W+: commercial and multi-property jobs, often split across zones.
Because LED fixtures draw far less than halogen, a single transformer powers many more lights than an old low-voltage system did.3 That cuts unit count and install cost on bulk contractor orders.
12V Multi-Tap Voltage Selection for Long Runs
A 12V landscape lighting transformer with multi-tap output solves voltage drop. Voltage falls as current travels down the wire, so fixtures at the end of a long run dim. Multi-tap units add 13V, 14V and 15V terminals: wire the far fixtures to a higher tap and they still receive a full 12V.2 For big commercial runs, this is the difference between even light and a dark tail end.
Timer and Photocell Integration
Most of our units accept an integrated timer, a photocell for dusk-to-dawn switching, or manual control. Contractors spec photocell models for hands-off municipal and multi-unit sites. Pair with a LED dimmer switch where scene control is needed.

Sizing Guide: How Many Lights Per Transformer
One transformer can power as many LED fixtures as fit within 80% of its rating. At a 10W average fixture, a 300W unit runs about 24 lights, a 600W unit about 48.1 Fixture draw varies: path lights often pull 3W to 5W, spotlights 5W to 12W, floods up to 20W.3 Total the fixtures on each run, divide by 0.8, and round up to the next transformer size.
