4″ Disk Light 3Way CCT

The 4" Disk Light installs two ways from one box. Drop it into an existing 4" recessed can as a retrofit, or surface mount it straight to a 4" junction box. One SKU covers both jobs.

10W draws 700 lumens at 120V, with 3000K, 4000K and 5000K selectable on a switch at the back. CRI above 80. Triac dimmable.

How do you connect an LED disk light?

Wire it to a standard ceiling junction box. Fix the mounting bracket to the 4" or 6" J-box with the two supplied screws, join line, neutral and ground with the wire nuts, tuck the connections back into the box, then seat the disk on the bracket and apply power. Four steps, no housing and no separate driver. Kill the breaker first and ground the fixture.

The retrofit route is faster still. Where a 4" can is already in the ceiling, the torsion clips hold the disk against the trim without a bracket.

Can lights vs LED disc lights: which do you need?

A can light needs a housing above the ceiling. This disc doesn't, which is what makes it useful in tight plenums, low basement ceilings and suspended tile where there's no room for a can. At 1.25" deep and 4.88" across it covers a 4" cut-out.

Retrofitting is where it earns its place. Existing cans stay in the ceiling and the disc mounts into them, so nobody's cutting drywall to modernise a lighting circuit.

Selectable CCT cuts what you carry

One switch sets 3000K, 4000K or 5000K before install. Warm for residential corridors, neutral for offices, cool for garages and utility rooms, from a single part number. That's one line on the purchase order instead of three, and no wrong-colour returns from site.

Where it can and can't go

Rated for damp and wet locations, so covered entries, soffits and bathrooms are fine. Operating range runs -20 to +40°C, which covers unheated Canadian garages and parking structures.

Two limits from the manual. Don't cover the fixture with insulation or any heat-insulating material. And don't attempt to replace the LED module or driver, as both are sealed in the housing.
