This 6" LED disk light carries all five colour temperatures in one SKU. Pick 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K on the LED module, then twist the lens shut. 11W puts out 1000 lumens between 3000K and 4000K, 950 at either end. CRI sits above 90. Beam spread is 120° on 120V. PC housing and lens, 2.5kV surge protection built in, cETL listed for wet locations, five-year warranty.

What is an LED disk light?

An LED disk light is a low-profile round fixture that mounts flat to the ceiling over a standard outlet box, or drops into an existing 6-inch can. Some suppliers spell it disc. Depth here is one inch, so it works where a recessed housing won't fit: low basements, garages, corridors, closets, stairwells.

How do I install an LED disk light?

Set the colour temperature first. The CCT switch sits on the LED module, and once the lens twists shut you can't reach it. Kill the breaker, connect line, neutral and ground, hang the housing on its keyholes, drive the mounting screw, then line the lens tabs up with the housing notches and twist to lock. The outlet box isn't included, and wire nuts and junction box screws are listed as separate accessories.

How long do LED disk lights last?

Rated life is 50,000 hours to L70, which is the point where output has dropped to 70% of new. Run it 12 hours a day and that's over 11 years. The warranty runs five years. Built-in 2.5kV surge protection covers the driver against line transients, and the fixture holds its rating from -20°C to 40°C, so unheated garages and vestibules are in scope.

Will it fit the compartment?

Check the compartment before you order. The disk measures 7.5 inches across and 1 inch deep, and the minimum compartment it needs is 7.5 by 1 inch. The 6-inch label refers to the can size it covers, not the trim you'll see. Mount it horizontal or vertical. It's cETL listed for wet locations. If the compartment is tighter, the 4-inch model drops to a 6 by 1 inch minimum and 9W.
