Why does Canada use 347V?
Canadian commercial buildings run 600V three-phase service, and 347V is what you get line to neutral off it. Lighting at 347V means smaller conductors and more fixtures on one circuit. Most fixtures sold here are 120-277V because they're built for the US market, so a 347V floor needs a step-down transformer or a fixture rated for the voltage. This one is rated for it. How long do LED flush mounts last?
Rated life is 50,000 hours to L70, roughly 17 years at 8 hours a day. The driver sits outside the light guide plate in its own box, so heat isn't trapped against the LEDs. Votatec backs it with a 5-year warranty.
Set the colour temperature before you hang it
The CCT selector is a switch on the back of the fixture and you can't reach it once the unit is twisted onto its bracket. Pick 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K first. Output holds within about 8% across all five settings, so specifying a warmer colour doesn't cost you meaningful light.
Will it fit the ceiling, and the dimmer?
Check the compartment first. The spec sheet calls for a minimum of 11.8 inches across by 0.71 inches deep. It's rated for enclosed fixtures and listed for damp locations, so covered entries and bathrooms are fine, though it isn't wet-rated for direct exposure. It runs from -20°C to 45°C, mounts horizontal or vertical, and dims to 10% on most residential dimmers. The box ships with the bracket, three screws and three wire connectors.
