This 5in slim flush mount goes up two ways: bracketed to a junction box, or dropped into an existing 5in recessed can. One SKU covers new work and pot light retrofits.

Can I convert my can lights to LED?
Yes, and you won't cut any drywall. The manual's recessed method runs three steps: pull the old trim and lamp out of the can, screw an E26 socket adapter into the socket already in the housing, then press the friction blades and push the fixture up until it sits flat against the ceiling. The can needs a clear compartment of at least 5.3in across and 0.5in deep. Shallower than that and the trim won't close.
The same fixture surface mounts on a junction box when there's no can to work with. Bracket first, wire second, then push and rotate.
How long do LED flush mount ceiling lights last?
This one's rated 50,000 hours to L70, meaning it still delivers 70% of its original output at that point. At five hours a day that's about 27 years. The driver is built into the 13mm body, so there's no lamp to change and nothing to re-ballast. Votatec warranties it for five years.
Five colour temperatures, one part number
The switch behind the trim steps through 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5000K. Stock one item instead of five, and let the site decide on the day. Output moves a little with the setting, from 656 lumens at 2700K to 680 at 4000K on the spec sheet's test table. It dims with most residential 120V dimmers down to roughly 10%.
Where it fits, and where it doesn't
Damp rated, so bathrooms, laundry rooms and covered ceilings are fine. Wet locations aren't, and the manual marks the fixture indoor use only, so an exposed soffit is out of scope. It's rated for enclosed fixtures and mounts horizontal or vertical.
One limit to read before you spec it: the manual says don't cover the fixture with heat insulating material, so this isn't a drop-in where insulation sits against the housing.
