This 6" x 4ft surface mount LED panel carries a dedicated 0-10V dimming pair, so it wires straight into a commercial control system. No dimming module, no drop ceiling needed.
Set output on site to 40W, 30W or 20W, and pick any of five colour temperatures from 2700K to 5000K. CRI 80 and up, power factor above 0.9, 120-277V.
Aluminum frame, 0.94in deep, cETLus listed by Intertek, damp rated, 5 year warranty.
Is a panel light the same as a surface mount light?
No. "Panel" describes the light source, "surface mount" describes how it attaches. Most 2x2 and 2x4 panels drop into a suspended grid ceiling and need that grid to sit in. This one doesn't. It fastens to a junction box with a bracket and two screws, then four drywall plugs anchor it. That's what lets you light a concrete parking level, a stairwell or a corridor with no grid above it.
What are surface mount LED panels used for?
Corridors, stairwells, storage and back-of-house areas, plus retrofits over an old fluorescent wrap. At 6 inches wide and 4 feet long it follows a corridor line instead of filling a ceiling tile. The 5-way CCT switch is why one SKU covers a 2700K lobby and a 5000K service corridor, so you stock a single part number across a mixed building.
How do you wire the 0-10V dimming?
Five leads. Black is line, white is neutral, green is ground, then a purple positive and a pink negative form the 0-10V control pair.
Check that pink lead before you commission a floor. Most manufacturers use grey for the 0-10V negative, and this fixture uses pink (manual, Step 5). An electrician wiring by convention will go looking for grey and won't find it.
Where it fits, and what won't work
The manual rates it for damp locations but indoor use only, with an operating range of -20 to +40°C, so unheated garages and parking levels are in scope. Don't cover it with heat insulating material, which rules out direct insulation contact. The LED board and driver aren't field replaceable. Removal is by screwdriver at the "Open here" mark. A safety rope holds the fixture while you make up connections, so it's a one person install. Metric footprint is 1200 x 150 x 24 mm.
For the install sequence, the wire colours and the damp and temperature limits, open the Manual (PDF) in the Related documents panel, and pull the IES set if your designer needs photometry at each of the five colour temperatures. Send us your fixture count and ceiling type and we'll come back with a wholesale quote and a 0-10V driver compatibility check.
