The 8ft Architectural Linear runs on anything from 120V to 347V, so one part number covers a 347V commercial feed and a 120V tenant fit-out.
Set the colour and the power on site with the dip switch: 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K, at 60W, 80W or 100W. Tested output reaches about 12,700 lumens. CRI above 80.
Aluminum housing in white or black, cULus certified for damp locations, five year warranty.
How much does an 8ft architectural linear fixture cost?
We quote it, because the fixture is one line on the bill of materials and the run isn't. What moves the number is finish, whether you add the upper module for indirect light, and how many joiners the layout needs. Connectors, canopies, mounting kits and the occupancy sensor are all ordered separately. Send the layout and we'll price the run.
How many fixtures can you link in one run?
Eight, which is just under 63 ft of continuous line. Buckle joint and screwless end cap connect without tools. One thing the manual is firm about: wiring must start from the end with the switches. Get that backwards on a long row and you're pulling covers off again. L, T, X, V and Y corners handle rectangles, hexagons at 120 degrees and three-way splits.
What do the wiring and dimming need?
A five conductor feed. Black is line, white neutral, green ground, and the 0-10V pair runs purple for DIM+ and pink for DIM-. That pair is polarity sensitive, so match it. The driver dims to 10%, not to zero, and Lutron's DSTV-Diva is the only dimmer Votatec has tested on it. Flicker on a dimmer usually means the dimmer, not the fixture.
Measured draw sits under the nameplate at every step. The IES files put the 100W setting at 96.9W to 98.0W depending on colour, the 80W step near 77.5W and the 60W step near 57.7W. Eight linked units at the top setting stay under 800W.
Where can you install it?
Indoors, dry or damp. It's IP20, so keep it away from anywhere hosed or rained on. Pendant, wall, surface and recessed all work with the matching kit, and it holds from -20C to 40C. One occupancy sensor drives five of the 8ft fixtures, half what it covers on the 2ft and 4ft.
For hole spacing, joint assembly and the up-light module sequence, open the Manual, and pull the IES set if your designer needs photometrics for the black finish. Send us your run length and fixture count and we'll come back with a wholesale quote and a voltage check.
