A19 Filament LED

The A19 Filament LED is rated for enclosed fixtures. Most filament bulbs aren't. Heat is what kills them inside a sealed globe or a jelly jar, and this one's built to sit there.

One bulb covers 3000K, 4000K and 5000K. 7W, 800 lumens rated, CRI above 80, true 360° output on an E26 base.

What does A19 mean on a light bulb?

A19 is the shape, not the socket. The "A" is the standard pear profile you picture when someone says light bulb. The 19 is the diameter in eighths of an inch, so 19/8 gives 2.375in across. This bulb measures 2.36in wide and 4.13in tall, inside the A19 envelope North American fixtures are built around.

Are A19 and E26 bulbs the same?

No, and confusing them is the most common ordering error on bulbs. A19 describes the glass. E26 describes the screw base, 26mm across. This bulb is both, an A19 globe on an E26 medium base. When a fixture spec says E26, it's telling you the socket will accept it. When it says A19, it's telling you the glass will clear the shade. Check both before you order a pallet.

Will it hold up in an enclosed fixture?

Yes, and that's the spec to check before buying filament in volume. Sealed globes, jelly jars and porch lanterns trap heat, and trapped heat is what shortens LED life. Most decorative filament bulbs carry a warning against enclosed use. This one is rated for it.

Photometry backs the 360° claim too. Measured output splits 51.4% above horizontal and 48.6% below, so it fills a shade the way the incandescent it replaces did.

Which dimmers is it tested against?

Votatec names models instead of claiming "works with most dimmers". Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683. Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Match one of those and you avoid the low-end flicker and drop-out that generic compatibility claims tend to hide. Ask us first if you're pairing it with anything else.
