The G30 Filament LED is a 3.74 inch clear glass globe that delivers 1000 lumens from 9 watts, the brightest output in its shape class.
Pick 3000K or 4000K at order. CRI runs above 80, the beam covers a full 360 degrees, and it dims on standard 120V LED dimmers.
Clear high-strength glass, an E26 base, ETL listing by Intertek, and a 3 year warranty.
What is the size of a G30 bulb?
G30 means 30 eighths of an inch across, so 3.75 inches. This lamp measures 3.74 inches (95mm) in diameter and 5.12 inches (130mm) tall overall, and it weighs 60g. Measure your pendant drop or shade opening against that 5.12 inch height before you order.
What's the difference between a G30 and a G40 bulb?
Diameter, mostly. G30 is 3.75 inches across, G40 is 5 inches. Both use the same E26 medium base, so the choice comes down to how the glass reads in an open fixture. G30 suits smaller pendants, vanity bars and bistro strings. Step up to G40 when you want the bulb itself to be the feature.
How much light does 9 watts give you?
1000 lumens, and the photometric test file backs it at 999.39. That's well ahead of the 240 to 800 lumens typical of G30 LED globes sold here. Colour rendering sits above 80 CRI, and the 360 degree beam leaves no dark patch above the socket, which matters in an open pendant where the bulb is seen from below. Dimming is tested against named devices: Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683, plus Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Power factor is above 0.7.
Where can you install it?
Dry indoor locations only. The lamp is IP20, and Votatec does not rate it for enclosed fixtures, so keep it out of sealed globes, closed vanity shades and any fitting with no airflow around the glass. Trapped heat shortens the life of a filament lamp. It runs on 120V at 50/60Hz, holds up from -20°C to +40°C, and carries 2.5kV surge protection as standard. Rated life is 15,000 hours.
