The GU24 A19 LED drops straight into a twist-lock socket, so a CFL swap needs no rewiring and no adapter. Two pins, quarter turn, done.
One lamp covers five colour temperatures. Pick 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K on the bulb before it goes up. Tested output is 840.91Lm at 8.61W, CRI above 80, on 120V with a 180 degree spread.
Dimmable on listed Leviton and Lutron controls, and rated for enclosed fixtures.
What is a GU24 bulb?
A GU24 bulb locks in with two pins instead of screwing in on a thread. The 24 is the gap between the pin centres in millimetres. You push it into the socket and turn it a quarter turn. Energy codes put these sockets into ceilings, sconces and closet fittings on purpose, so the fixture could only ever take an efficient self-ballasted lamp. Most of them still hold the original CFL. This is the LED that replaces it.
Is GU10 the same as GU24?
No, and they aren't interchangeable. Both twist and lock, and that's where the similarity stops. GU10 pins sit 10mm apart and GU10 lamps are almost always narrow-beam spots. GU24 pins sit 24mm apart under an A19 body built for general room lighting. A GU10 lamp won't seat in a GU24 socket, and there's no adapter that makes it safe to force.
Five colour temperatures, one part number
The selector sits on the bulb: 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K. For a distributor that's one line on the shelf instead of five. For a contractor it's one carton on the van when the interior designer changes the spec on site. The 180 degree spread suits pendants, sconces and enclosed ceiling fittings, where a tight beam would scallop the shade.
Will it fit the fixture?
Measure the depth first. The lamp runs 3-7/8" long and 2-3/8" across, so check the shade or lens before committing to volume. It's rated for enclosed fixtures, which plenty of GU24 LEDs aren't, and that's what usually decides a closet or a vanity globe. Dimming is confirmed on Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683, and on Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Controls off that list can buzz or drop out at the bottom of the range.
