One PAR30 lamp, five colour temperatures. Set 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K before install, so a single SKU covers warm halogen matching and cool retail white.
E26 base, 120V, dimmable, CRI above 80, on a 3-6/8" face. Photometric testing measures 860 lumens at 9.5W, about 90 lumens per watt.
UL Listed, rated 50,000 hours, three-year warranty. Canadian wholesale, priced by the case for the trade.
What's the difference between PAR30 long neck and short neck bulbs?
Neck length changes how deep the lamp sits in the fixture. Nothing else. Both share the same 3-6/8" face and the same E26 base, so the beam lands the same way once the lamp is seated. Short neck runs roughly 3.4 to 4.7 inches overall, long neck 4.2 to 5 inches.
Measure socket to trim in your can or track head before you order. This lamp is 4-6/8" overall, so in a shallow can check that the face still sits flush with the trim. Sit it too proud and you get glare from the aperture. Too deep and the trim clips the beam edge.
Which of the five colour temperatures should you set?
2700K matches the halogen it replaces, which matters in occupied retrofits where tenants notice a colour shift overnight. 3000K suits hospitality and residential common areas. 3500K is where most offices land. 4000K and 5000K go to retail, service bays and back of house.
2700K and 3500K are the reason to stock this version over the fixed 3-CCT PAR30. That one starts at 3000K.
What happens if you put an LED bulb in a halogen fixture?
It usually works, and two things decide whether it works well. Heat comes first. This lamp is rated for enclosed fixtures, which plenty of retrofit lamps aren't, so sealed cans and covered track heads are fair game. Dimming comes second. An old incandescent dimmer can buzz or cut out at the bottom of the range because a 9.5W load sits well under its minimum. The Leviton and Lutron models Votatec has tested are listed in the spec panel.
One electrical note before you spec these
Power factor is 0.7. Several Canadian utility and rebate programmes want 0.9 or better on commercial lamps, so confirm the programme rules before building these into a rebated retrofit.
