The 14W PAR38 is the narrow-beam lamp in Votatec's PAR range. Its own lab file measures a 31 degree beam, tighter than the 40 degree flood most PAR38s give you.

How many lumens is a 14W PAR38 LED bulb?
1100 lumens, and the lab file published on this page measures 1111. That's 84 lumens per watt on a 13.2W draw. For a PAR38 though, lumens only tell half the story. What counts is what reaches the target: 2486 candela down the centre of the beam. That's the number a lighting designer asks for first.
Is the beam really 40 degrees?
No. The spec panel says 40, but the IES file in the Related documents panel measures 31 degrees at the 50% points, with a 62 degree field angle. That's a narrow flood, not a full flood, and it changes your layout. From a 10 foot ceiling a 31 degree beam lays down a pool about 5 and a half feet across, where 40 would give just over 7. Space to the tighter number or you'll get dark scallops between fixtures.
Why pick this over the 18W PAR38?
Centre beam candlepower. The 18W makes more total light, 1400 lumens against 1100, but spreads it over a 40 degree flood. Measured centre beam is 2470 candela on the 18W and 2486 on this one, so the 14W puts marginally more light on target while drawing 4W less. Choose it for accent work and display cases, the 18W to cover area.
How does 5-way CCT selection work?
You set the colour temperature on the lamp itself before install: 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K. One SKU covers every job, so you stock one box instead of five. It saves a return when a site changes its mind on colour after the order ships.
Which dimmers and fixtures is it rated for?
Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683, plus Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Stick to that list, because pairing an LED lamp with an incandescent-only dimmer is what causes the flicker people blame on the bulb. It's rated for enclosed fixtures too, which plenty of LED PAR38s aren't, so sealed cans and recessed trims are fine.
