Is an E12 base the same as a candelabra base?
Yes. E12 and candelabra are two names for one thing: a screw base 12 mm across. You'll find it in chandeliers, wall sconces, bath bars, display fixtures and night lights. It won't thread into a standard E26 socket. This lamp uses an anti-shock E12 base, which the spec sheet lists as a distinct feature rather than a plain E12.
What bulbs will fit an E12 socket?
Only bulbs built on an E12 base. An E26 lamp is more than twice the base diameter and won't start to thread, so there's no forcing it. Shape is the free choice. B10 and B11 candles, C7 night lights, G16.5 globes and this ST12 tube all share the same E12 thread, so you can change the look without touching the fixture. Check overall length first. This one measures 3.96" tall by 1.57" wide, so it sits taller than a standard 3-7/8" candle lamp.
Why a daylight filament bulb is unusual
Most filament lamps stop at 2700K, because the whole point is copying an incandescent. This one runs 5000K daylight through the same clear glass and exposed filament. That suits a retail display, a workshop bench or a stairwell where somebody wants the decorative look without the yellow cast. Only 5000K is offered in this model number.
Where it can and can't go
Not in enclosed fixtures. The spec sheet rates it IP20, so there's no water protection at all, which rules out sealed globes, damp locations and anything outdoors. Rated operating range is -25°C to 40°C, and it performs best around 25°C. Dimming is tested against named Leviton and Lutron controls: 6681, 6674 and 6683, plus DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Pair it with anything outside that list and bench test before you commit to a job.
