ST12 Filament LED – 4W

The ST12 Filament LED is a 4W E12 chandelier bulb in clear glass, dimmable, and offered in two whites: warm 3000K and neutral 4000K.

It draws 4W for 400Lm, which works out to 100 lumens per watt, with CRI above 80 and a 360° beam so the filament reads evenly from every side.

What kind of light bulbs do chandeliers use?

Most chandeliers take an E12 candelabra base, and that's what this lamp screws into. E12 means a 12mm thread, roughly half the width of the E26 base in a table lamp. Measure one socket before you order a pallet. At 3.96" tall and 1.57" across, the ST12 teardrop clears the small glass cups on most multi-arm fixtures.

Is 40W or 60W better for chandeliers?

Ask it in lumens instead. Watts tell you what a lamp draws, not how much light you get back. This one gives 400Lm on 4W. A six-arm chandelier fitted throughout comes to 2,400Lm. Count the arms, multiply by 400, and match that against the room rather than against an old wattage number.

Which dimmers has it been tested with?

It's dimmable, and Votatec names the controls it's been run against: Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683, plus Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Put it on a control outside that list and you might see flicker or a short dimming range at the bottom end.

Where this bulb shouldn't go

It isn't rated for enclosed fixtures. Sealed glass globes trap heat around the driver and cut the life of any filament lamp, so keep this one in open or vented fittings. It's an IP20 lamp for dry indoor locations, works from -20°C to 40°C, and carries 2.5kV surge protection as standard. That surge rating matters more than it sounds on older residential circuits.

Two whites, one fixture profile

The 3000K version reads warm and suits dining rooms, lobbies and hospitality. The 4000K reads neutral and holds up better in offices and retail, where warm light can look dated. Same body, same base, same dimmer list, so you can mix them across a building.
