ST64 Filament LED – 9W

The ST64 Filament LED 9W is the brightest ST64 Votatec builds, at 1000 lumens. Most Edison-style ST64 bulbs stop between 400 and 800.

Pick 3000K or 4000K. E26 base, 120V, 360 degree beam, 5-1/2" tall by 2-1/2" across.

Clear glass and an exposed filament, so it's built to be seen. The page lists tested Leviton and Lutron dimmers, which matters more on a filament lamp than a spec sheet badge does.

What is an ST64 bulb?

An ST64 is a vintage Edison-style bulb with a straight tubular, teardrop-shaped glass envelope roughly 64mm across at its widest point. "ST" is the shape code. "64" is that width in millimetres, about 2-1/2". The LED filaments sit exposed inside clear glass, so the bulb is meant to be looked at rather than hidden behind a shade. Most ST64 lamps run 4W to 8W for 400 to 800 lumens. This one runs 9W for 1000, which puts it at the top of the shape.

Can I use ST19 instead of ST64?

Usually, and the gap is smaller than the numbers suggest. ST19 is sized in imperial eighths of an inch, so 19/8 comes out around 2-3/8" or 60mm. ST64 is metric at 64mm, near 2-1/2". That's about 4mm of difference in diameter. ST58 is the tighter one at 58mm. On a single fixture it rarely matters. On a 200-unit order into narrow shade openings, measure first.

Why 3000K and 4000K instead of 2700K?

Because this one's built for commercial rooms. Nearly every Edison bulb on the Canadian retail shelf sits at 2200K to 2700K, a deep amber that flatters a room and muddies product colour. 3000K keeps the look warm. 4000K gives you neutral white, which is what retail displays, bakery cases and clinic waiting areas need when the exposed-filament aesthetic still has to work. Where it fits, and where it doesn't

Not in an enclosed fixture. The spec panel says no, and trapped heat is what kills filament lamps early. Open pendants, cage fixtures, bare sockets and exposed track heads are the right homes, and the 360 degree beam suits fixtures with no reflector. For dimming, use the listed controls: Leviton 6681, 6674, 6683, or Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15, MACL-153M. Filament flicker complaints almost always trace back to a control that isn't on that list.
