The ST64 Filament LED runs amber-toned cross filaments inside clear glass, so it reads as a classic Edison lamp switched off, then puts out modern light switched on. No dim 2200K compromise.
6.5W delivers 700 lumens at CRI above 80, and you pick 3000K, 4000K or 5000K at order. E26 base, 120V, 360-degree beam, dimmable.
Clear high-strength glass, cUL certified, IP20, 15,000 hours, 3-year warranty.
What is an ST64 bulb?
ST64 is a shape code, not a technology. "ST" means straight tubular and "64" is the nominal diameter in millimetres. This one measures 2.5 inches (63mm) across at its widest point and stands 5.5 inches tall on a standard E26 screw base. It's the teardrop Edison profile, and it's built to be looked at rather than hidden behind a shade.
Can I use an ST19 instead of an ST64?
In an open fixture, usually yes. The two codes measure the same idea in different systems: ST19 is 19 eighths of an inch, about 2.375 inches, and ST64 is 64 millimetres, about 2.5 inches. That's roughly 3mm of difference, which is why vendors routinely cross-label the same lamp as both. Check height, not width. At 5.5 inches plus socket depth, an ST64 sits taller than some ST19s, and that's what fails in a shallow pendant or a caged sconce.
Amber filament, modern colour temperature
The filaments cross in an X and carry a warm copper tone, so an unlit fixture still looks like a period lamp. Light output doesn't follow the look. True vintage ST64s sit at 2200K to 2700K and stay dim on purpose. This one runs 3000K, 4000K or 5000K, so a restaurant, lobby or retail floor gets the exposed-filament aesthetic without giving up usable light. Tested output beats the published number: 725 lumens at 3000K, 749 at 4000K, 712 at 5000K.
Where it fits, and where it doesn't
It isn't rated for enclosed fixtures. Keep it out of sealed globes and gasketed jars, where trapped heat shortens filament life. IP20 means dry locations only. Dimming is verified against named controls rather than claimed in general: Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683, plus Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Check what's already on the wall against that list before quoting a retrofit. Each bulb weighs 42g, so cord-hung pendants aren't a concern, and surge protection is 2.5kV as standard.
