ST64 Filament LED – 6W

The ST64 Filament LED 6W is the only 2700K lamp in Votatec's ST64 range. That's the warm, incandescent-style tone most buyers actually mean when they ask for an Edison bulb.

What is an ST64 bulb?

ST64 is a shape code, not a brightness or a colour. "ST" means straight tubular, and "64" is the widest diameter in millimetres, so an ST64 is a teardrop lamp roughly 64mm across with the filament on show. Votatec's ST64 measures 5-1/2" tall by 2-1/2" wide on an E26 base, which drops into standard pendants, sconces and track heads without an adapter.

Can I use ST19 instead of ST64?

Usually yes, if the socket is E26 and you've got the clearance. ST19 is the imperial name for very nearly the same lamp, measured in eighths of an inch instead of millimetres, so ST19 and ST64 are commonly cross-listed. Check height before you order a pallet. Shade and cage fixtures cut fine on diameter but not on length.

Why 2700K is the one buyers ask for

Warm tone is the whole reason a filament lamp gets specified. At 2700K this lamp reads as candlelight-adjacent and matches the incandescent look that restaurants, lobbies and retail displays are trying to keep. Votatec's other ST64s run 2200K amber or 3000K and above, so this is the one that lands where most Edison-style specifications sit. It dims on standard Leviton and Lutron controls, including the DVCL-153PLH, MACL-153M and S600-P.

Where this lamp fits, and where it doesn't

It isn't rated for enclosed fixtures, so keep it out of sealed jars and gasketed globes where heat has nowhere to go. IP20 means dry locations only, no exterior string runs. Rated operating range is -25°C to 40°C.

One thing the spec panel won't tell you: this lamp is brightest out its sides, not down its axis. Photometry shows peak intensity near horizontal and about half the output going upward, which suits an exposed pendant or an uplit sconce and works against it as a downlight over a work surface.
