T10 Filament LED

The T10 Filament LED is a 6W tubular Edison lamp rated for fully enclosed fixtures, which most filament bulbs aren't. Clear glass shows the filament, so it suits exposed sockets in retail and hospitality.

Output runs 777Lm at 3000K, 808Lm at 4000K and 718Lm at 5000K, all on 6W, with CRI above 80 and a 360 degree beam.

What does T10 mean on a light bulb?

T10 is the shape code. The T means tubular and the 10 means ten eighths of an inch across, so a nominal 1-1/4" diameter. Measured, this lamp is 1.14" (30mm) wide and 5" (127mm) tall. Watch the base though. Automotive T10s use a 12V wedge and won't fit here. This one takes a standard E26 screw base, the same size as any household lamp.

Are all T10 bulbs the same?

No, and brightness is where they split. Most T10 LEDs sold in Canada land between 400Lm and 600Lm. This one measures 777Lm at 3000K and 808Lm at 4000K on the same 6W draw, which works out to 140 lumens per watt. Independent photometry backs it up: the IES file records 774.14 lumens at 5.95W. Pick the colour temperature that fits the space. Warm 3000K for retail and hospitality, 4000K for task areas, 5000K for cooler display work.

Can you use it in an enclosed fixture?

Yes, and the spec sheet says so in writing. This matters more than it sounds. A sealed globe traps the heat the driver needs to shed, and trapped heat cooks both the driver and the phosphor, so a lamp that isn't rated for it dies early and shifts colour on the way out. Votatec rates this one from -20°C to +40°C, best around 25°C, with 2.5kV surge protection as standard. Rated life is 15,000 hours.

Which dimmers has it been tested with?

Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683, plus Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. It's a 120V lamp only, so don't spec it into a 277V branch circuit. IP20 means dry indoor locations.
