The T45 milky filament LED, sold in North America as a T14, wraps the filament in frosted glass so an exposed fixture reads as one even glow instead of a row of bright LED strips.
7W draws 851 lumens at 3000K on a standard E26 base at 120V, with 360-degree output and CRI above 80.
Glass body, cUL listed, dimmable on named Leviton and Lutron controls, rated 15,000 hours and backed 3 years.
What is a T45 bulb?
A T45 is a tubular decorative bulb 45mm across, which North American suppliers also list as a T14. Both names describe the same glass: T for tubular, then the diameter in millimetres or in eighths of an inch. This one measures 1.77" (45mm) wide by 4.21" (107mm) tall on an E26 screw base, so it fits pendants, wall sconces and open chandeliers built to show the bulb.
Milky or clear: which T45 should you spec?
Milky, whenever the bulb sits in sight. Frosted glass hides the filament and spreads the light, which kills the glare a bare filament throws at eye level. It costs about 11% of the output. Votatec's own test data puts the milky T45 at 851 lumens against 959 for the clear build, same 7W, same 3000K. Spec clear when the filament pattern is the design feature, milky when the fixture hangs over a table or below eye height.
Dimming without the callback
Filament LEDs are the ones that flicker on the wrong dimmer. This lamp ships with a tested control list: Leviton 6681, 6674 and 6683, or Lutron DVCL-153PLH, S600-P, DV600-P15 and MACL-153M. Put one of those on the wall and you skip the return visit.
Where this bulb can't go
Open fixtures only. The spec sheet rates the T45 as not suitable for enclosed fixtures, so sealed globes, gasketed jars and closed ceiling pans will trap heat and cut into the 15,000-hour life. IP20 keeps it indoors and dry. The operating range runs -25°C to 40°C, so a covered porch is fine and a wet location isn't.
