This 8 inch slim LED pot light runs on any commercial feed from 120V to 347V, and it dims two ways: 0-10V or standard 120V Triac. One SKU covers both control types, so you don't stock a separate part for the office and the plant floor.

What are pot lights called now?
Pot light, wafer light, slim panel, canless downlight. Same fixture, four names. Votatec catalogues this one as a slim round panel because that's the factory term, but contractors across Canada ask for pot lights. The 8 inch figure describes the trim, not the hole you cut.
Will it cover an existing 8 inch hole?
The trim measures 8.7 inches across and sits 1.06 inches deep, so it drops into a 7.91 inch (201mm) cut hole and hides the ragged edge left behind when an old 8 inch can comes out. Your ceiling cavity needs 8.7 inches clear by 1.06 inches deep, per the spec sheet. Remodel or new construction, both work.
Why 347V matters on a Canadian job
Most commercial buildings here run 600/347V. A fixture rated to 347V wires straight to that feed, so you skip the step-down transformer and you don't split the order into separate 120V and 347V part numbers. Same SKU in the tenant suite and the warehouse.
0-10V or Triac, which wiring do you use?
Triac is the simpler pull: white to white, black to black, copper to green, done. For 0-10V you add the yellow and red control pair from the dimmer to the matching wires inside the junction box. Both sequences are in the manual, English and French. Dimming range is 10 to 100 percent, and the spec sheet lists the Triac dimmers the factory has tested.
Where you can install it
Damp location listed, so covered entries, soffits and bathrooms outside the shower zone are fine. It's IP20, which rules out wet locations and direct spray. IC rated for contact with insulation, rated for enclosed fixtures, and good from -20°C to 40°C.
