One 8-inch downlight, 25 configurations. Five power settings and five colour temperatures, set by switches inside the driver housing, so one part number replaces a shelf of fixtures.
Pick 22W to 40W and 2700K to 5000K. Output runs 2,913 to 4,962 lumens at 4000K, 94 CRI. Input is AC120-347V, so one unit suits a 120V tenant circuit or a 347V commercial feed.
Aluminum body, PMMA light guide, 0-10V dimming, cETLus listed, ENERGY STAR certified, 5-year warranty.
How bright is an 8-inch commercial LED downlight?
This one delivers 2,913 lumens on its lowest setting and 4,962 on its highest, measured at 4000K. Most 8-inch commercial downlights sold in Canada top out between 1,640 and 2,450 lumens, so the lowest setting here already clears the field's ceiling. Efficacy runs 120 to 135 lm/W depending on where you set it. Every setting and colour temperature combination is tabled in the spec sheet.
How do you wire the CCT and power switches?
Both switches sit inside the driver housing, not on the trim, so nobody resets them from a ladder after handover. Wiring is black to hot, white to neutral, violet to 0-10V positive, grey to 0-10V negative. Use 18 AWG minimum, or 14 AWG on continuous runs. Dimming covers 0 to 100%, and the manual names seven tested control models. On long runs, work out inrush current before you fix the fixture count per circuit.
Will it fit an existing 8-inch ceiling opening?
The cut hole is 8.07 inches and the trim measures 9.37 inches, so the flange covers openings up to roughly 9.3 inches. That makes it a retrofit part, not just new construction. Assembled height is 5.18 inches, and you need a lamp compartment of at least 9.37 by 4.9 inches. The driver housing is integrated and the whip is plenum-rated flexible metal, so there's no remote driver box to fit above the grid. Spring clips and a carabiner safety lanyard cover both install routes.
Why 347V matters on a Canadian job
347V is a Canadian commercial distribution voltage, and most competing 8-inch downlights stop at 277V. Carrying one part number instead of two cuts a distributor's stock and lets a contractor move the same fixture between a retail unit and an industrial bay without re-specifying. Operating range is -20°C to 40°C, indoor.
