What are the best modern flush ceiling lights?
The ones that disappear. A flat band profile reads as a clean disc against the ceiling, 2.36" deep, with the diodes hidden behind a PMMA diffuser instead of a visible lamp. Black, white and brushed nickel cover most modern interiors. No exposed fasteners, no glass shade to dust.
Will it dim on the controls you already stock?
Most likely. It runs ELV and TRIAC dimming from 10% to 100%, and the spec sheet names twelve tested dimmers across Lutron, Leviton and TP-Link, including the HS220 smart switch. Older dimmers built for incandescent lamps can still behave badly. Use one LED-rated control per group and you'll avoid most callbacks.
How much light does 15W actually give?
Between 1,000 and 1,050 lumens, depending on which white you set. The cooler settings run brighter: 15W gives 1,000 lm at 2700K, 3000K and 3500K, and 1,050 lm at 4000K and 5000K. Step down to 7W and you're at 460 to 550 lm. Efficacy holds at 66 to 70 lm/W right across the range.
Why the power factor matters on this one
It's rated above 0.9. That keeps apparent load close to real load, so a circuit carries more fixtures before you run out of headroom, and it's the number a spec reviewer checks on anything going into a commercial panel. Surge protection at 2.5kV is built in, and output holds from -20°C to 40°C.
