The E12-CR45LEDA is a 4.5W candelabra lamp with a true 360 degree beam, so a chandelier or sconce lights evenly instead of throwing it all at the ceiling. Output runs 450-500 lumens, and one part number covers 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K. CRI is above 80. It dims, and it runs on standard 120V. Ceramic base, clear PC lens, ETL listed, IP20. Two year warranty.

What does E12 mean on this bulb?

E12 is the base, not the shape. The E stands for Edison screw and the 12 is the thread diameter in millimetres, so this lamp fits any standard candelabra socket. That's the small socket in chandeliers, wall sconces, bathroom vanity bars and night lights. The lamp measures 17.5mm across and 54mm end to end, with 37.5mm of that sitting above the base once it's threaded in.

Is an E12 base the same as E26?

No. E26 is the regular household socket at 26mm, more than double the thread diameter. An E12 lamp won't thread into an E26 socket, and an E26 lamp won't fit this one. Measure the socket before you order. The two aren't interchangeable without an adapter, and an adapter changes the fixture's listed configuration.

Can you use it in an enclosed fixture?

No. Votatec rates this lamp for open fixtures only, and that's worth checking before you specify it. A sealed globe or a closed dome traps heat around the driver, and heat is what shortens LED life. The lamp is rated from -20°C to +45°C ambient and performs best near 25°C. If the fixture is a sealed globe, ask us for a lamp rated for enclosed use instead of assuming this one will hold up.

One part number, four colour temperatures

The same model covers 3000K through 6000K, so a warm 3000K residential lobby and a 5000K service corridor draw on one line item instead of four. That cuts what a distributor carries and what a contractor mis-picks on site. The lamp dims on standard 120V forward-phase controls. Inside, a ceramic base carries heat off the 2835 emitters and an IC driver holds output steady across the rated 25,000 hours.
