A 6W G9 LED bulb with a frosted milky diffuser, so a clear or open shade shows soft even light instead of a row of individual LED dots.
Six watts gives you 500 to 550 lumens, one SKU switchable across 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K, CRI above 80, and a full 360 degree beam.
Ceramic base to pull heat off the chips, dimmable, ETL listed and backed for two years.
Milky or clear? Choose by the shade, not the wattage
Order milky when the shade is clear or open, and clear when the shade already diffuses the light. Both are 6W G9 lamps on the same 18 by 58mm body, with the same four colour temperatures and the same dimming. The difference is output. The frosted diffuser softens the light and costs you some of it: 550 lumens here against 650 on the clear version, from Votatec's own lumen table. You're trading about 15% of the brightness for a fixture that doesn't show hot spots.
Which colour temperature should you order?
One SKU covers 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K, so you pick at order time instead of stocking four codes. 3000K suits residential and hospitality fittings. 4000K reads neutral in kitchens and washrooms. 5000K and 6000K push cool for retail and task work. CRI stays above 80 across all four, and the 360 degree beam earns its keep in a bare sconce where the lamp is visible from every side.
Fixtures this bulb can't go in
Sealed ones. The spec sheet rates this lamp No for enclosed fixtures, so fully closed globes and tight decorative shades are out, because trapped heat cooks the driver and shortens the rated 25,000 hours. Check the compartment as well. At 18mm across and 58mm long it's 3mm longer than the 3.5W and 4.5W G9s, so a shallow fitting that took those may not close on this one. It's IP20, indoor and dry only, rated -20°C to +45°C and happiest at 25°C.
Dimming and driver protection
The lamp dims, but the pairing decides the result. Power factor sits above 0.9, and the sheet lists 0.5kV surge protection as standard. Low-end flicker on a G9 is nearly always a dimmer mismatch rather than a bad lamp.
