This indoor track light zooms from a 20° spotlight to a 50° flood, so one head covers accent and wall-wash duty on the same rail.
Switch it on site between 20W, 15W and 10W, pick any of five colour temperatures from 2700K to 5000K, and get up to 1,771 lumens at 90+ CRI.
Cold-forged aluminum housing, ETL listed for damp locations, rated 50,000 hours, 5-year warranty.
What's the difference between a track light and a spotlight?
A spotlight is a beam angle, not a different fixture. Narrow beams near 20° pick out artwork, shelving and feature merchandise. Wider beams near 50° wash a wall or a work surface. Most heads are locked to one or the other, so a store ends up stocking two part numbers. This one twists through five stops, 20°, 24°, 36°, 45° and 50°, and holds each one. You specify a single head and set the beam after the displays are in.
Are track light heads universal?
No, and this is where orders go wrong. This head has a halo H-type base and seats in H-type three-wire track only. It won't fit J-type or L-type rail. Check the profile of the track already on the ceiling before you order, because the base isn't interchangeable once it ships. Votatec supplies the head rather than the rail.
How many heads fit on one track?
Three heads sit in a single foot of track on one adapter, and twelve fit across four feet on one adapter. Daisy connection brings a swap down to about a minute. Each head pivots 90° either way and rotates 350°, so a row of them can be re-aimed without touching the rail.
Where it fits, and where it doesn't
ETL certified for damp locations and IP20 rated, so covered entries and back-of-house are fine while direct water isn't. It runs from -20°C to 45°C. Two limits worth knowing before you spec it: it isn't dimmable, and it isn't rated for enclosed fixtures. Surge protection at 4KV and a power factor above 0.9 suit retail and restaurant circuits. Peak efficacy is 88.6 lm/W at 4000K, and the per-colour output runs 1,485 lm at 2700K up to 1,771 lm at 4000K.
