The VO-TF22W40-347-5Way-P is a 2x2 LED troffer that sets both wattage and colour temperature on DIP switches, so one SKU covers five spec lines instead of five part numbers. Pick 20W, 25W, 30W, 35W or 40W, and 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K or 6500K. At the 40W setting it delivers 5,000 lumens with CRI above 80. One fixture runs anywhere from 120V to 347V. ETL listed, damp rated, 0-10V dimmable, five year warranty.

What's the difference between an LED panel and a troffer?

A troffer is a recessed fixture with a shaped housing that drops into a T-bar grid. A flat panel is edge-lit and slim, and it washes the ceiling evenly. This troffer's angled lens gives the light some depth instead, which is why it reads less flat in an office than a back-lit panel does. Votatec files troffers under Panel in the catalogue, so use the model prefix to tell them apart. TF is a troffer. A plain VO code with a wattage is a back-lit panel.

Can you dim a 2x2 LED troffer?

Yes. This one takes a 0-10V signal on the purple and pink leads, alongside white for neutral, black for line and green for ground. Working current is 0.367A, which is the number you want when you're counting fixtures on a circuit. Flicker stays under 5%.

Set the wattage and colour temperature before it goes up

Both switches sit under the driver cover on top of the fixture. Unscrew the cover, connect your conduit to the driver box, wire it, pick the CCT and the power level, then screw the cover back on. Do all of that on the bench. Once the troffer's seated in the grid you'd have to pull it back down to change a setting, which is the mistake that costs an afternoon on a floor of forty fixtures.

Where it fits, and where it doesn't

It drops straight into a standard 2ft T-bar grid. 23.74in square, 2.08in deep, 5.8 lb, so it goes into shallower plenums than a 2x4 will. Damp locations are fine. Wet locations aren't. The manual is also explicit that you can't cover the fixture with thermally insulating material, so it isn't a candidate for an insulated attic plenum. Protective brackets are included and the manual tells you to fit them. This is electrician-only work.
