How many 300W UFO high bays does a warehouse need?
Multiply floor area by target foot-candles, divide by fixture lumens, then add roughly 25% for light loss and spacing. A 10,000 sq ft bulk storage bay at 25 foot-candles works out near 250,000 lumens, so six to eight of these heads. Aisles are usually specced between 20 and 30 foot-candles. Picking and packing run higher. Racking changes the answer, because tall racks block the spread and you end up lighting aisles rather than a floor plane.
What mounting height suits a 90 degree beam?
90 degrees is a wide beam, and an honest one: the IES measures 90.6 degrees at half intensity. At a 25 ft mount that's roughly a 50 ft pool under each head, so spacing them about one mounting height apart gives proper overlap. Above 40 ft the wide optic wastes light on walls, and a narrower beam or a reflector puts more on the floor.
Dimming, sensor and remote
The manual carries what the spec panel doesn't. Dimming is 0/1-10V and the DIM+ and DIM- leads leave the driver in their own gland, the second cable in the product photo. Three dimmers are named: LUTRON NTSTV-DV, LEVITON DS710 or IP710, and LEGRAND RH4FBL3PTC. A DC motion sensor screws into the 1/2 inch knockout and arrives in universal mode. The HB03R remote then sets standby dim from 10 to 50%, hold time from 10 seconds to 30 minutes, and a daylight threshold between 10 and 100 lux. That remote isn't in the standard carton, so add it to the order if you're programming sensors on site.
Mounting and site fit
Hook, ceiling and 1/2 inch NPT mounting are all supported, though the spec sheet only pictures the hook. Allow for a 390 mm disc, 203 mm deep. Use a listed strain relief bushing at the outlet box. Rated -40C to 50C, which covers an unheated prairie warehouse.
