What voltage does this flood light run on?
AC120-347V, so 120V, 208V, 240V, 277V and 347V all run on one part number, with no voltage-specific version to stock. 347V is the one that matters. It's a Canadian standard, and most fixtures built for the US market stop at 277V. On a plaza, arena or industrial bay running 347V, that drops a step-down transformer off the bill of materials. Power factor holds above 0.9.
How do you change the wattage and colour temperature?
Two switches on the back of the housing, behind sealed plugs. Open the metal plug and the plastic plug counterclockwise with a screwdriver, slide the switch, then tighten both plugs clockwise. One sets colour, the other handles power and the photocell. Re-tightening both plugs is what keeps the IP65 seal. Set it before it goes up the ladder.
Which mount does the 120W ship with?
A trunnion, and only a trunnion. The 35W and 80W both ship with a knuckle bracket and a trunnion in the box, but the manual scopes the knuckle to the 15W to 80W models. This part number carries YM, the trunnion code. Plan on a yoke bracket against a flat surface or a pole plate, and ask us first if your drawing calls for a knuckle.
What is the lifespan of an LED floodlight?
Votatec rates this one at 50,000 hours. On a photocell at roughly 12 hours a night, that's about 11 years to rated end of life. Ambient heat and drive current decide whether you beat it. Running at 80W or 100W lowers junction temperature, and the finned die-cast back handles the rest. Rated -30C to 50C, so a Prairie January is inside spec.
Where it's rated to go
Wet location, cULus listed, so open sky is fine. IP65 shuts out dust and takes a hose. Surge protection is built in at 4kV. Supply conductors have to be rated 75C minimum, and the fixture needs proper earth grounding. One thing the manual rules out: don't bench-test it on a portable generator.
