PAR20 LED

This PAR20 LED bulb is a 7W E26 reflector lamp for track heads and 4-inch recessed cans, and it's rated for enclosed fixtures, which a lot of PAR20 LEDs aren't.

Pick 3000K or 4000K. Both draw the same 7W on 120V, with CRI above 80 and a dimmable driver.

Which dimmers work with this PAR20?

Two of the controls Votatec lists are LED-rated: the Lutron Diva CL (DVCL-153PLH) and the Lutron Maestro CL (MACL-153M). Both are from Lutron's CL line, built for LED and CFL loads. Start there.

Watch the low end of the load range. A single 7W lamp on a 600W dimmer sits far below what that control expects to see, and low-load flicker or drop-out at the bottom of the slider is the usual result. Gang several lamps on one circuit, or check the minimum load in the dimmer's own instructions before you commit to a layout.

Can this PAR20 go in an enclosed fixture?

Yes. The spec panel lists it as suitable for enclosed fixtures, and that's worth checking before you buy any LED reflector lamp.

Most aren't. Trapped heat inside a sealed jar, a glass-shaded ceiling fitting or a closed outdoor lantern shortens driver life, and plenty of manufacturers void the warranty outright for that install. This lamp is cleared for it.

Will it fit a 4-inch can or a track head?

The lamp is 3-3/8" end to end and 2-1/2" across the face, on an E26 medium base. That 2-1/2" face is what the PAR20 code means: 20 eighths of an inch, so every PAR20 from every maker shares that diameter.

Length is what actually varies. Measure from your socket shoulder to the trim, and give the 3-3/8" figure a little clearance for airflow. For track lighting heads, check the shroud depth too, since a deep shroud on a short lamp buries the beam.

3000K or 4000K for this lamp?

3000K reads warm and suits residential and hospitality work. 4000K reads neutral and holds up better in retail and commercial spaces where merchandise colour needs to stay honest. Our colour temperature guide walks through the difference.
