The WS36-044A is a 36-inch round LED vanity bar with a five-way CCT selector built into the canopy, so one SKU covers every colour temperature your projects call for.
30W draws a rated 2100 lumens at 90+ CRI, 120V, across a 100 degree spread.
Steel and aluminium body, milk-white plastic lens, 2.5kV surge protection, ETL listed for damp locations, five-year warranty.
What size vanity light fits a 48-inch vanity?
A 36-inch bar. The working rule is 70 to 80 percent of mirror width, which puts this fixture on a 44 to 52 inch mirror, the usual pairing above a 48-inch vanity. Go much narrower and the mirror edges stay dark for shaving and makeup. Specifying a 36-inch vanity instead? Drop to the 24-inch WS24-044A and keep the same finish and CCT range.
How do you install a 36-inch vanity light bar?
It mounts to a standard octagonal junction box, and that box needs at least ½" of depth. Loosen the canopy screws counter clockwise, lift the mounting bracket off the luminaire, then turn the bracket so its arms face away from the box. Level the bracket before you tighten it. Strip 3/8" of the supply conductors, then join white to white, black to black, and the green ground to bare copper. Bracket first, canopy second. A qualified electrician should do the work.
Is a damp rating enough over a bathroom sink?
For the vanity position, yes. The fixture is ETL listed for damp locations at IP20, which covers the humidity and condensation of a normal bathroom. Keep it clear of the tub or shower enclosure. Inside that enclosure you need a wet-location fixture, and this one isn't rated for it. It's also not rated for enclosed fixtures.
Set the colour temperature before you mount it
The five-way selector sits on the side of the canopy, so it's far easier to reach before the fixture goes up against the wall. Output shifts with the setting, and 4000K is the brightest of the five on the factory's photometric table. The milk-white lens diffuses the array rather than exposing it, which is what keeps hard shadows off the face at the mirror. Dimming runs 10 to 100 percent on ELV and TRIAC wall dimmers, and Votatec's own LED dimmer switches suit it.
For the 36 tested dimmer models, the wiring diagram and the per-CCT lumen table, open the Spec sheet and Manual in the Related documents panel, and pull the IES file if your designer needs the photometric distribution.
