The BAA-015 puts a USB-A port and a USB-C port on a standard 15A tamper-resistant duplex receptacle, so phones and tablets charge without an adapter and without giving up an outlet.
Both USB ports share 4.8A at 5VDC. The receptacle is 15A, 125VAC, and takes #14 to #10 AWG copper. Tamper-resistant shutters are standard.

What's the difference between the USB-A and USB-C ports?
USB-A is the older rectangular port, USB-C is the smaller reversible one, and the BAA-015 gives you one of each. The two share a single 4.8A supply at 5VDC, so that's 24W total across both ports, not 4.8A each. Plenty for phones, tablets and cameras. These are 5V ports, so this isn't a USB Power Delivery unit. If your spec calls for 30W or 65W PD fast charging, this isn't your unit.
Are tamper-resistant receptacles required in Canada?
Yes, in dwelling units. CEC Rule 26-706 requires 5-15R and 5-20R receptacles in dwelling units to be tamper-resistant and marked as such, with exceptions for receptacles that aren't accessible or sit above 2 m. The BAA-015 ships with TR shutters and carries the marking on its face. One caution: the manual cites the 2011 NEC, which is American. For Canadian work it's Rule 26-706 your inspector quotes.
What happens if you plug in too much?
It shuts the USB output down. When the combined draw of connected devices goes past what the ports supply, the charger cuts USB power to protect them (Manual, BAA-015). The receptacle half keeps working. That's the reason this unit suits waiting rooms, hotel rooms and meeting rooms, where you can't control what guests plug in.
Will it fit the box you've already got?
It replaces a standard duplex receptacle, and takes back or side wiring. Terminals are copper only, aluminum conductors are prohibited. Torque every screw to 9 lb-in (1.0 to 1.4 Nm), with no bare conductor showing. Strip 0.5 in for the back wire holes, 1 in for the screw terminals. Rated -20 to 60°C, indoor.
