The 16" Flat Band Flush Mount is a surface-mount LED ceiling fixture with five selectable wattages and five selectable colour temperatures, both set by switches on the ring.
Pick 24W, 22W, 20W, 18W or 15W, and 2700K through 5000K. That's 1,152 to 1,995 lumens depending on the setting, with CRI above 80 and a 115 degree beam.
PMMA diffuser, 2.5kV surge protection built in, cETLus listed for damp locations. Three finishes, 5 year warranty.
Do you need an electrician to fit a flush ceiling light?
In most cases, yes. It's hardwired, so it lands on a junction box and gets connected line, neutral and ground. Votatec's manual says all connections must follow local electrical code, and to bring in a qualified electrician if you're unsure. In Canada that code is CSA C22.1, the Canadian Electrical Code. Kill the circuit at the breaker before you touch anything.
Is it easy to replace a flush mount ceiling light?
For a straight swap onto an existing junction box, yes. The carton includes the housing, the diffuser already fitted, three wire nuts, two 1-1/2" box screws and the printed manual, so there's nothing else to buy. Loosen the cover, fit the box screws, join ground first and then black and white, rotate the plate onto the screw lock and retighten. Set the wattage and colour temperature switches before you lift it. Both sit on the ring behind the cover.
One part number, 25 light settings
Five wattages times five colour temperatures gives 25 combinations from a single SKU. For a contractor that's one carton on the truck instead of five, and a spec that can change on site without a return. Dimming runs 10% to 100% on ELV or TRIAC, and spec sheet page 3 lists the dimmer models Votatec has tested. The 2.5kV surge protection is standard, not an upcharge.
Where a 16 inch fixture fits
Allow a 406mm circle on the ceiling and 60mm of projection, which clears low soffits and corridor ceilings where a pendant can't go. Damp location listing covers covered entries, laundry rooms and ensuite ceilings, though not direct spray, since the fixture is IP20. It runs from -20°C to 40°C. There's a 12" version of the same flat band at 15W if the 16" is too much for the space.
For the mounting sequence, carton contents and the tested dimmer list, open the Manual and Spec sheet in the Related documents panel, and take the IES file if your designer needs photometry for a layout. Send us your fixture count and the split across white, black and brushed nickel, and we'll come back with a wholesale quote and a stock check.
