Is 70 CFM enough for a bathroom?
Yes, for a bathroom up to about 70 sq ft. The Home Ventilating Institute sizes bathrooms under 100 sq ft at 1 CFM per square foot, and Canada's National Building Code sets a 50 CFM minimum for bathroom exhaust. At 70 CFM this unit clears both for a standard 5 x 9 or 8 x 8 layout. Measure the room first. If it's larger, size up.
How many CFM do I need for a 10x10 bathroom?

What makes it quiet at 1.5 sones?
The bearings. Economy bath fans usually run sleeve bearings, which get louder as they wear. This one uses a dual ball-bearing motor that holds 850 r/min with less friction and less drift across its 5,000 hour rated life. A thermal fuse cuts power if the motor overheats, and the housing is V0 class flame-retardant ABS.
Where can you install it?
Ceiling mount, horizontal position only. It's cETL listed for insulated ceilings, Type I.C., so insulation can sit against the housing. It's also cETL listed over a bathtub or shower, but only on a GFCI-protected branch circuit, and no GFCI device ships with the fan. Cut the 10 in. x 10 in. opening, seat the housing, screw the flange to the ceiling, then clip the grille on using the mounting springs in the box. One detail to catch at takeoff: the duct connector is 4 in. oval, not round, and it carries a built-in damper against back-drafting.
