What lengths do LED strip lights come in?
This range comes in three: 2ft, 4ft and 8ft. The 2ft measures 23.78 x 2.95 x 3.26 inches and weighs 0.83kg, which puts it where a 4ft overshoots. Stair landings. Service cupboards. Corridors, storage rooms and the short bays between roll-up doors. Mount it surface, wall, or suspended on the two V-hooks in the box.
How many can you link on one circuit?
Twenty-four on a 120V circuit, or 69 on 347V. The manual puts each 2ft fixture at 0.23A on 120V and 0.08A on 347V, so either run lands near 5.5A. That 347V number is the one worth pricing: same current headroom, roughly three times the fixtures, and far less homerun copper across a warehouse. Wire the next fixture straight off the last one, dimming leads included.
What is the lifespan of a LED linear light?
Votatec rates this one at 100,000 hours to L70, the point where output has dropped to 70% of new. At 12 hours a day that's roughly 23 years. The warranty runs five. Rated for enclosed fixtures, cETL damp-listed, and built on an SPCC steel chassis rather than a stamped tray, with 2kV surge protection standard.
What it takes to add sensors or battery backup
Both are options rather than separate fixtures. The occupancy sensor is a microwave unit, not PIR, and it ships pre-set to hold 5 seconds then dim to 10%; order it factory-fitted as the -S part number or follow the retrofit steps in the manual. Keep sensored fixtures at least one metre apart or they read each other. Emergency packs drop into knockouts already punched for BILLDA, Helpower and Hexing. For 0-10V control the tested dimmers are Lutron NTSTV-DV, Leviton DS710-10Z and IP710, and Legrand RH4FBL3PW.
