The 8ft ECSTR strip carries a built-in microwave sensor and switches five ways on both power and colour, by DIP switch or by remote.
Pick 50W, 60W, 70W, 80W or 90W. Pick 3500K, 4000K, 4500K, 5000K or 5700K. Output runs 11,700 lm at 3500K and 12,510 lm at 4500K, CRI 80+, on AC120-347V with 0-10V dimming.
SPCC steel housing, PC diffuser, 2kV surge protection, cETL damp rated, 5 year warranty.
How much amperage does an 8ft LED strip fixture draw?
At the 90W step it draws 0.83A on 120V and 0.29A on 347V. Both figures come from the install manual's continuous-row table, and both reconcile with 90W at the fixture's 0.9 power factor. Lower steps draw proportionally less, which is the point of one SKU covering five.
How many fixtures can you link on one circuit?
The manual caps a continuous row at fewer than 7 units, about 5.8A and 17 metres of run at 120V. The Linkable MAX 500W rating is tighter at the top of the range: 500W over 90W allows 5 fixtures, roughly 12 metres. The two only agree at 70W and below. At 90W, plan 5 per run.
Where this sensor works, and where it doesn't
Mount it at 3 metres. The remote manual caps sensor height at 4 metres and calls 3 metres proper, so treat 4 as your ceiling even though the spec sheet prints 6. It's microwave, not PIR, so it reads movement between 0.3 and 1 m/s and sees straight through the diffuser. Keep it 30cm clear of metal, glass and concrete or you'll get false triggering. Warm-up is 15 seconds.
Planning sensors across a spliced row
Splice two 8ft units end to end and the sensors sit 2.44 metres apart. That clears the install manual's 1 metre minimum but misses the remote manual's 3 metre figure, so under the stricter rule you fit a sensor in every second fixture. The sensor rides the same 0-10V pair a dimmer uses, so one unit drives the whole row at no extra cost. Order the -S where you want detection and plain units in between.
For the remote button map, the three scene presets and the full application notice, open the RC Manual (PDF), and check the Manual for the 8ft splice bracket parts list, which differs from the 2ft and 4ft kit. Send us your run lengths and mounting heights and we'll come back with a wholesale quote and a sensor layout.
