The 4ft Linear Strip Fixture ships with an integrated sensor receptacle, so you can plug in an occupancy sensor later without rewiring the fixture or changing the part number.
Set 30W, 35W, 40W or 45W on the driver switch, then 3500K, 4000K or 5000K on the colour switch. Output runs 3,900 to 6,300 lumens depending on both.
IP44, damp rated, 0-10V dimmable, five year warranty.
How many 4ft LED shop lights can you link together?
Eleven at 45W, or sixteen at 30W. The limit is a 500W maximum per linked run, so the number changes with the wattage you select on the switch: 11 at 45W, 12 at 40W, 14 at 35W, 16 at 30W. Power feeds through the side knockouts from one fixture to the next, so a linked row needs one supply connection, not eleven.
How much power does a 4ft LED strip light draw?
About 0.37A at 120V. Votatec's own photometric test measured 44.2W at 120.2V with a 0.99 power factor, slightly under the 45W nameplate. On a 347V feeder the same fixture pulls roughly 0.13A. A full 11 fixture run at 45W draws about 4.1A at 120V, which sits inside the 12A continuous limit of a 15A circuit.
One part number for 120V and 347V
The driver accepts anything from 120V to 347V. A 120V garage bay, a 277V retail unit and a 347V warehouse feeder all take the same fixture off the same pallet, with no voltage-specific SKUs to stock or return. Selectable wattage does the same for output: one part number covers four light levels, so a layout gets tuned on site instead of re-ordered.
What it fits, and what it doesn't
V-hooks, half round fittings, wire caps and screws are in the box. Ceiling anchors and mounting bolts are not, so add them to the take-off. The fixture suspends on aircraft cable or chain, or surface mounts flat to the deck. Rated IP44 for damp locations, which covers a covered parking structure or an unheated garage but not direct water exposure. It runs from -40C to 50C. Note the plug-in sensor accessory is only rated to -20C, so in an unheated Canadian building the sensor is the limiting part, not the fixture.
For wiring sequence, feed-through knockouts and the dimmer compatibility table, open the Manual and Spec sheet, and pull the IES file if your designer needs the candela data for a layout. Send us your fixture count and mounting height and we'll come back with a wholesale quote and a link-run plan that stays inside the 500W cap.
