The SB05 area light puts four wattage steps and three colour temperatures in one bronze shoebox housing, so a single SKU covers 240W through 500W.
Set 240W, 300W, 400W or 500W and 3000K, 4000K or 5000K on site. Output runs 37,920 to 79,000 lumens at 4000K, 158 lm/W, CRI above 80, on AC120-347V.
Aluminum shell, polycarbonate lens, Type 5 distribution, IP65 and cULus wet location. 0-10V dimming. Starts at -40C. Five year warranty.
How many lumens should a parking lot light be?
Set it once to the level the lot needs, then leave it. At 4000K the four steps give 37,920 lumens at 240W, 47,400 at 300W, 63,200 at 400W and 79,000 at 500W. At 3000K the same steps run 32,160 to 67,000 lumens, at 5000K 34,080 to 71,000. Twelve combinations, one part number. Large lots and container yards want the top two steps on tall poles, where one head covers ground that would take two.
How long do LED parking lot lights last?
Votatec rates this head at 50,000 hours to L70B50, tested at 35C ambient. On dusk-to-dawn operation, roughly 4,000 hours a year, that's more than a decade before output drops to 70% of new. The driver decides real service life, not the diodes, so the -40C to 45C range matters as much as the hour count on a northern site. Surge protection is built in.
Setting the wattage and colour temperature
Both switches sit under a sealed plug on the housing, not behind the lens. Back the plug out with a flat-blade screwdriver, slide the selectors, then screw the plug down and check the seal. Crews skip that last step, and the IP65 and wet location ratings depend on it. Switch it on the ground before the head goes up.
What mounts it, and what's in the box
Brackets are ordered separately. This head takes SF bracket 500 or RS bracket 500. The TR trunnion fits every SB05 and wall-mounts on expansion bolts for building perimeters. SF and RS codes are wattage-specific, so a 150/300 bracket won't fit. Slip-fitter and tenon brackets bore Ø63 mm. Pole drilling is six M8 through-holes on a 12.5, 33, 65, 100 and 140 mm pattern. Every configuration ships with a 6 ft power cable and a 6 ft dimming cable. Supply conductors need a 90C rating on a grounded circuit.
For bracket codes, the pole template and the tested lumen table, open the Spec sheet and Manual in the Related documents panel, and pull the IES files if your designer's running a photometric layout. Send us the pole count, mounting height and wattage step, and we'll come back with a wholesale quote plus a bracket and photocell check.
