The Stadium Light 600W is a power-adjustable sports floodlight. One fixture covers 600W, 500W, 400W or 300W, set on a dip switch before it goes up the mast.
At 600W it delivers 102,000 lumens at 5000K through a 25 degree optic, holding 170 lumens per watt at every step. CRI above 70. Input AC120-347V.
IP66, IK08, cULus wet location, 0-10V dimming, 5 year warranty.
How powerful is a 600W LED stadium light?
At the 600W setting this fixture produces 102,000 lumens. Step it down and you get 85,000lm at 500W, 68,000lm at 400W, and 51,000lm at 300W. Every step holds 170 lumens per watt, so a lower draw doesn't cost efficiency. That output goes through a 25 degree optic, and the narrow beam is what separates a stadium fixture from a general area light. It reaches the playing surface from a tall mast instead of spilling into the parking lot.
How do you set the wattage?
On the ground, before the fixture is mounted. Use a Phillips driver to unscrew the plug on the power compartment counterclockwise, dial the dip switch to the wattage you want, then tighten the plug clockwise to reseal it. Do this at grade. Once the luminaire is up the mast, that switch sits behind a sealed cover you can't reach safely. Dimming is separate, on a Sosen 0-10V driver with a 6 foot dimming cable already fitted.
What does the electrical rough-in need?
Supply conductors rated 105°C minimum, per the marking in the manual. That's above the 90°C wire many crews carry as standard, so check it before ordering cable. Input is three cores: black, white, green. The dimming pair is purple and pink. It's cULus certified for wet locations, though the manual asks that connections be made in a dry area unless properly sealed, and it excludes corrosion damage from defect claims.
Optics, aiming, and what's in the box
The 25 degree lens is standard. 40 degree and 60 degree lenses, visors and the laser sighting device order separately. The laser earns its keep on tall masts: clamp it to the driver housing, hold the button, mark the spot on the ground, then lock the bracket. Beats aiming 102,000 lumens by eye. A 6 foot power cable and accessory bag ship with every luminaire.
