One post top LED that covers nine light settings. Field switches set 60W, 80W or 100W and 3000K, 4000K or 5000K, so a single part number handles pathway, courtyard and small parking lot poles.
Output runs 7,980 to 14,100 lumens at 133 to 142 lm/W, 70+ CRI, on 120-347V. 0-10V dimming, 5kV surge, and a photocell receptacle that ships capped and ready.
Die-cast aluminum, polycarbonate lens, IK10, cULus listed, 5 year warranty.
What is a post top light?
A post top light mounts directly on the open top of a pole instead of hanging off a side arm. It slides over the pole tenon and clamps with set screws. You'll find them on campus walkways, courtyards, municipal streetscapes and small parking areas, usually at 3 to 5 metres, where the fixture is part of the look as much as the lighting plan.
Can you install a post top light yourself?
Not this one. Votatec's manual calls for professional electrical knowledge, power off at the panel, and proper earth grounding, so it's a licensed electrician's job. The mechanical half is quick. Slide the head over a 3in round pole, tighten the screws, done. One caution that catches people out: don't test the fixture on a generator. The manual rules it out.
Nine settings, one part number
DIP switches under the top base pick the wattage and the colour temperature. They sit under the cap so water stays out. Set them on the ground before the fixture goes up. Nine combinations from one shelf item means fewer part numbers on the truck, and one spare that fits every pole on site.
Will it fit your pole?
It's built for a 3in round pole top. The head is 421mm across and 495.6mm tall and weighs 13.55 lbs, so check the rated top load on older poles. Every fixture ships with 4ft power and 4ft dimming cables, and both support arms adjust through 180 degrees. The photocell receptacle arrives capped, so it runs without a sensor. Add the JL-207E for dusk to dawn: it switches on at 16 lux, off at 24. Rated -40°C to 45°C, which covers a Prairie winter.
For the wiring diagram, the DIP switch positions and the photocell test sequence, open the Manual (PDF), and pull the IES set if your designer needs photometry, since it holds all nine files. Send us your pole count and mounting height and we'll come back with a wholesale quote plus a check on which rebate programmes this fixture qualifies for.
