An 8W low voltage LED pathway light on AC or DC 12V, with a three-position CCT button on top of the shade. Set 3000K, 4000K or 5000K after it's in the ground.
Output runs 500Lm to 520Lm depending on the colour you pick, at CRI 80 across a 120 degree spread. Ground spike, surface holder and a 60cm lead are all included.
Die-cast aluminum, powder-painted bronze, IP65, IK05 impact rated, 5 year warranty.
How many path lights can one 12V transformer run?
Ten, on an 88W transformer. That's the factory's own worked example: load an 88W supply to about 80W, keeping a 10% safety margin, and at 8W each you get ten fixtures. Votatec's 88W 12VAC landscape transformer matches that example exactly, and the 300W unit scales to roughly 33 fixtures on the same margin. Keep each cable run under 10 metres and pick the wire gauge for the distance, because voltage drop on a long thin run costs you output at the far end and can overheat the cable.
How far apart should pathway lights be spaced?
Spacing follows the pool of light, not a fixed rule. The published 120 degree spread at this fixture's above-grade height throws a pool roughly 1.9 metres across at grade, so fixtures set about that far apart give you a continuous wash, and pushing them wider gives the scalloped look most walkway schemes actually want. Work from the pool width and the transformer budget together.
Can you change the colour temperature after installation?
Yes. The CCT selector is a three-position button on top of the shade, so a site can move from 3000K to 4000K without pulling fixtures out of the ground. Output barely shifts across the three settings: 510Lm at 3000K, 520Lm at 4000K, 500Lm at 5000K. Efficacy stays between 62.5 and 65 lm/W.
What to check before it goes in the ground
It takes AC or DC at 12V and polarity doesn't matter, so reversed leads on a long garden run aren't a problem. Protection class III means no earth connection. Supply conductors need a 75°C minimum rating. Rated range is -20°C to 45°C, worth confirming against your coldest site. IP65 covers water jets, not submersion, so don't set it where water pools. A flat holder disc ships in the box if you'd rather surface-mount than spike it.
For wiring steps, the CCT button positions and the shipping-damage check, open the Manual (PDF), and take the spec sheet for the per-CCT lumen table your designer will want. Send us the fixture count and run lengths for your site and we'll come back with a wholesale quote plus a transformer sized to match.
