The Landscape Spot Light VO-GDW8-5WAY-12-SP is an aimable 8W spike-mounted spot on AC or DC 12V. The head tilts up and down once the spike's in the ground, so aim gets set on site.
Output is 760Lm at 2700K, 790Lm at 3000K, 810Lm at 3500K, 810Lm at 4000K and 850Lm at 5000K, at CRI 80 through a 60 degree beam. A button on the head picks the colour.

How many lumens should an outdoor spotlight be?
For accent work on a single tree or a house wall, 300 to 700 lumens is the working band, and this fixture sits at the top of it. Published output is 760Lm at 2700K, 790Lm at 3000K, 810Lm at 3500K, 810Lm at 4000K and 850Lm at 5000K. The factory's own IES files measure higher at every setting: 649, 685 and 660 lumens. Past roughly 900 lumens on a residential tree you get glare instead of accent, so more isn't better here.
Is a 60 degree beam a spot or a flood?
It's a wide spot, and the published number holds up. All three IES files put the half-power beam between 59.4 and 61.0 degrees on both axes, so 60 degrees is measured, not rounded. That matters before you order. A 60 degree beam washes a broad canopy, a hedge or a wall panel evenly. For a tight column of light up a narrow trunk you want a 15 to 30 degree optic, and this isn't one.
How far will an 8W spot light throw?
Centre-beam intensity is 741 candela at 4000K, 723 at 5000K and 690 at 3000K. That's roughly 82 lux at 3 metres and 30 lux at 5 metres, spread over a pool about 3.5 and 5.8 metres across. Enough for a 3 to 5 metre tree or a single-storey facade. By 8 metres you're near 12 lux, and that's where you step up to a higher wattage.
Spike, holder, and what the cold does
The spike's in the box with a 60cm lead. A flat holder disc is a separate order code if you'd rather surface-mount on stone or decking. Rated range is -20°C to 40°C, worth checking against your coldest site, because a Prairie or Ottawa cold snap drops below the bottom of it. Protection class III means no earth connection, and supply conductors need a 75°C minimum rating.
