Product Details

This 27W LED corn light is wattage selectable. One lamp covers 27W, 18W or 12W, set with a screwdriver at the lamp, so you stock a single part number for three jobs. Output runs 1,740 to 4,050 lumens at 145-150 lm/W, in 4000K or 5000K. Both E26 and E39 bases ship in the box, and it runs on anything from 120V to 347V. cULus listed, DLC listed on E39, IP64, damp rated, 4KV surge protection, 5 year warranty.

What is an LED corn light used for?

It replaces metal halide, high pressure sodium and CFL lamps in fixtures you already own. The name comes from the shape, rows of LED chips wrapped around a cylinder like kernels on a cob. You screw it into the existing socket. At 27W it's rated against an 80W HID lamp, at 18W against 50W, at 12W against 40W. Post tops, garden lights, shoebox heads and low bay fixtures are the usual homes.

Can you change the wattage without changing the bulb?

Yes. Take the plastic cover off with a screwdriver and rotate the selector. Three steps: 12W, 18W, 27W. This isn't a wall dimmer and the lamp isn't rated for one, so the adjustment happens once, at the lamp, during commissioning. Contractors standardise on one part number and tune output on site instead of guessing wattage off a drawing.

How long do LED corn bulbs last?

Rated life is 50,000 hours. The driver sits behind an aluminum heatsink with no fan, so nothing spins and nothing seizes. Built-in 4KV surge protection handles line transients, and the operating window runs -40°C to 50°C. That covers unheated Canadian garages and parking structures. For the wattage selector diagram, the ballast bypass warning and the bilingual safety notices, open the Manual (PDF) in the Related documents panel, and pull the IES file if your designer needs photometry for a layout.
