Model 14631 is the small fixture in Votatec's SOL collection, cETLus listed for wet locations. It mounts on an open exterior wall, no overhang required.
One E26 socket takes a 60W maximum A-shape or ST filament lamp at 120V, and it's dimmer compatible. Steel housing, tempered glass shade, matte black. 6.58" W x 11.92" H x 7.92" D, rated from -20°C to 60°C.
Three year warranty. Bulb sold separately.
Can you mount it without an overhang?
Yes. Model 14631 is cETLus listed for wet locations, so direct rain and snow contact sits inside its rating. Damp-rated fixtures don't get that latitude, they need a covered porch or a soffit. On an exposed wall, the wet rating is the line on the spec sheet that decides the job.
One condition, easy to miss. The manual asks you to caulk between the back plate and the mounting surface, and sealing tape isn't in the box. Skip it and water tracks in behind the fixture and into the junction box, which is also supplied separately.
Which bulb belongs in it?
An E26 lamp rated for enclosed fixtures. The spec sheet allows A-shape or ST filament up to 60W at 120V. The glass shade and cage close around the lamp, so heat sits on the driver, and a standard LED bulb that isn't enclosed-rated will fail early even when it's wet rated. Ask us which of our filament and A-shape lamps carry the enclosed rating. Dimming follows the lamp you fit, not the fixture.
How cold can it run?
Down to -20°C. The operating window is -20°C to 60°C, and a lot of Canada spends January below that floor. If you're specifying for Prairie or northern sites, send us the design low and we'll confirm the fixture stays inside its rating.
Choosing a size across the SOL collection
Four bodies share this design. 14631 is the small one, 6.58" wide and 11.92" tall at 3.74 lbs. Step up to the medium or the large where the wall is broad or the mounting height sits above eye level, or take the chain-hung version for a covered entry ceiling. Same finish and E26 platform throughout, so a mixed order still reads as one specification.
